Less than two weeks after the heartbreaking loss of her UFC bantamweight title to Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey showed again her bruise-free face in public. She was seen on Thanksgiving Day walking in Los Angeles with a young girl. The next day, she was photographed by TMZ with boyfriend Travis Browne and a dog.
Also on Thursday, the Sydney Morning Herald reports that Ronda's mother, AnnMaria De Mars, posted on Instagram their family Thanksgiving photo which included Ronda. There are eight adults and three kids in the family picture which AnnMaria captioned: "Every family get together we try to do a theme picture for my mom. #thanksgiving theme was funny hats."
When Ronda returned from Melbourne to LA a few days after the match against Holm, she had a hoodie and covered her face with a travel pillow when she arrived at the airport. The UFC gave her a six-month medical suspension to allow her to heal.
While the loss broke Ronda's winning streak, giving her a 12-1 record, the Nov. 14 bout at the Etihad Stadium also broke UFC records with a gate receipt of $9 million. This early, UFC announced another mixed martial art fight in Brisbane on March 20, 2016, although the fighters have not yet been identified.
HollywoodLife reports that the Holm-Rousey rematch is set on July 2016. The entertainment website adds that Ronda deliberately stayed indoors until her face injuries were completely healed.
