Lupita Nyong'o has graced the front cover of the January 2016 issue of Essence magazine while the award-winning actress gave a few details about Maz Kanta from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

The 32-year-old's front cover appearance is a first for Essence Magazine as Nyon'o has consistently been praised for being a style icon whenever the celebrity struts and poses for photographers on the red carpet.

Likewise, Nyong'o noted that looking elegant for others all the time is not something that the actress ever gets used to doing, according to E! Online.

The "Star Wars" star has indeed been experienced an incredible rise to fame ever since winning an Oscar for best supporting actress for her fantastic role in "12 Years a Slave," but Nyong'o has claimed that sometimes the past identity becomes forgotten as she keeps describing her current self.

Nyong'o initially just wanted to imitate different, unique characters as an actress, but now everyone has given her heaps of praise as a formidable Hollywood star. In 2014, Nyong'o was even deemed by People magazine as the most beautiful woman in the world while Glamour magazine awarded her as "Woman of the Year."

Furthermore, one of the roles that Nyong'o is incredibly grateful for is that of being Maz Kanta in the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" film. The Mexican-Kenyan actress said that Kanta was a strong woman with an interesting history before Nyong'o humorously noted that revealing more details would lead her to trouble.

In addition, the film director was approached by J.J. Abrams when Nyong'o was about to go to the beach. Abrams wanted Nyong'o to look into the character of Kanta as the "Star Trek" director actually sent someone to Morocco to personally give the "12 Years a Slave" star the script.

The Hollywood star immediately loved the script and Kanta as a character, so Nyong'o agreed to finally be part of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Meanwhile, Ample Hills Creamery has introduced limited edition "Star Wars" ice cream that include flavors such as The Dark Side and The Light Side to promote the film, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The first flavor contains dark chocolate, cocoa crispies and white chocolate pearls while The Light Side has cocoa crispies and marshmallow ice cream.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released in cinemas on Dec. 18.
