"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is about to hit the theaters after 10 years of silence from the last Star Wars movie. There is increased hype among fans for one of this year's highly-awaited movies, and the studio has unleashed the film's longest official promo.

The promo sets off in a gradual pace revealing a masked figure going around some ruins, followed by a female voice, considered to be Maz Kanata's (Lupita Nyong'o). The voice asks, "Who are you?" and later on another female voice replies, "I'm no one."

It is speculated that the reply is Rey's (Daisy Ridley), who seemingly has a key role in the film as pointed out by executive producer Kathleen Kennedy, according to The Atlantic.

Rey's character depicts a "scavenger" on Jokku, a desert planet, and it is most probably the masked person at the beginning of the trailer that goes for more than two minutes.

According to The Guardian, even though the promo does not give many details when it comes to the plot, it highlights the main cast including Rey. As the camera shifts to Finn (John Boyega), he can easily be regarded as another main protagonist, seen in many sand dunes, as a voice is heard saying "I was raised to do one thing, but I've got nothing to fight for."

On the other hand, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is likely the antagonist since he is seen talking to what appears like an ancient mask, most probably the remains of Darth Vader, the villain in the original series, asserting, "Nothing will stand in our way. I will finish what you started."

The trailer as well unveils some of the familiar characters in the previous Star Wars films like robot clones, R2-D2, Chewbacca, the spacecrafts, and Vader. However, Luke Skywalker is nowhere to be seen.

Skywalker's continued absence in trailers has raised speculations that he might not be the same as viewers have met him in the previous Star Wars movies.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is slated to hit the theater on Dec. 18.
