"Mortal Kombat" fans have been eagerly anticipating the next set of playable characters, and with Ed Boon teasing the fans about next DLC characters, the wait seems almost intolerable.
Rumors are rife in the air that the anticipation about the characters might end of Thursday, Dec. 3, during "The Game Awards."
Geoff Keighley, "The Game Awards" creator has tweeted a teaser video on Twitter, which promises that there will be an "exclusive announcement" for the game during the show, according to reports from Tech Times.
Notably, "Mortal Kombat X" players have been guessing as to who will be the new playable characters, and it is rumored that there will be at least four new characters, new character skins and a new arena for the characters.
Last September, the game's developer NeatherRealm Studios teased an image, which included four character silhouettes.
Although, the creator of the game has not provided an official statement, yet he has been hinting at certain characters.
For example, Boon mentioned that he did not "want to kill Batman", when asked about characters of the game. This implies that players might not find Gotham heroes in the DLC update, according to Latino Post.
Additionally when asked about Ninja Turtles, Boon replied with a straight "No". However, one of the silhouette characters do have a resemblance to the shape of Wolverine and thus players anticipate that he might be added to DLC.
Thus, it is yet to be seen which characters get added to the game, and players might need to tune in to "The Game Awards" to find out the characters of DLC.
