"Mortal Kombat X" fighters for its upcoming Kombat Pack 2 were leaked in a YouTube trailer before the official announcement at The Game Awards 2015.
Bo' Rai Cho, Leatherface, the Xenomorph, and a Tri-Borg appeared on a video released by WB Games Australia, which was immediately taken down, IGN said.
The trailer was re-uploaded by fighting game website Shoryuken, and showed Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre;" Xenomorph, from "Alien;" returning fan favorite, Bo' Rai Cho, who will be joining the upcoming game as a playable character, and Tri-Borg, a combination of three "Mortal Kombat" characters, Sektor, Cyrax, and Robot Smoke.
In the clip, Leatherface is featured with his trademark chainsaw, with Xenomorph sporting sharp, sword-like claws.
"Mortal Kombat" creator, Ed Boon had earlier teased on Twitter the new Kombat Pack 2 DLC characters would be announced at The Game Awards 2015 in Los Angeles, California Thursday night, on Dec 3.
The Game Awards will be taking place at 6:00pm PT and 9:00pm ET, with the entire "Mortal Kombat X" game roster, including the Kombat Pack 2 characters introduced.
The upcoming DLC will also include new skins, and at least one new stage to the game.
According to International Business Times, while there has been no specific news pointing towards when the Kombat Pack 2 DLC will be released, leaked information has revealed the new content will be available by Q1 2016.
NetherRealm Studios' "Mortal Kombat X" was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in April, featuring fighting characters, Tremor, Jason Voorhees, Tanya, and Predator.
