"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will reportedly introduce a new character that will replace Nina Dobrev.

After Dobrev's exit from the hit The CW show in season 6, fans wondered whether or not the remaining cast members will take her place.

Executive producer Julie Plec previously told TV Line that no one will replace Dobrev on the show.

Plec added that all of the old cast members will just be given a little bit more focus now that Elena is no longer around.

However, Thursday night's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 may have just introduced a character named Rayna.

Although Rayna's face wasn't shown on television, fans already know that the character will be portrayed by Filipino-American actress Leslie-Anne Huff.

It's obvious how Huff and Dobrev resemble each other's physical appearance, most especially their faces.

With this, fans can't help but speculate that Plec decided to replace Dobrev for good.

Additionally, in "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," fans also saw a brief moment between Rayna and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder).

By the looks of it, it's possible that Rayna will become Damon's newest love interest.

In the scene, Rayna apologized to Damon for not being able to save him. She was also worried that Damon might die because she can't do anything to help him out.

More scenes featuring Huff's character will be featured on "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 12, according to Design N Trend.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
