Blackberry has unveiled its interest on the Internet of Things (IoT) platform.  It believes that it is the optimal way to manage the fast growth of connecting devices. The system where almost everything will be connected on the Net and talk to each other.

Blackberry's Technology Solutions unit President Sandeep Chennakeshu disclosed their plans to push with the Blackberry IoT system. Their first target is the automobile and asset tracking system, however, Chennakeshu admits that almost every aspect will be tackled since the platform is capable of it.

The struggling mobile company has announced last May 2014, their upcoming cloud based service called Project Ion, PCWorld reported. It was said that it would be able to make things easier for enterprises to develop the IOT platform.

Project Ion was developed and has undergone several beta tests from their customers and eventually wrapped and called it the Blackberry IOT Platform. Blackberry was the latest to discuss about the IOT at the CES show this year.

The idea of creating tiny sensors and embedding into gadgets and appliances to connect each other is such a huge breakthrough in technology. Those little sensors will coordinate with each other and function together.

What made the huge buzz at the CES display was Blackberry's unveiling of connecting cars and asset tracking idea.

The company's QNX business is a powerhouse in automotive and in industrial software. AT&T collaborated with Blackberry and showed its Classic Blackberry and the upgraded version of the Passport smartphone.

The industry may approve that Blackberry did a great job with it dominating the enterprise field like no other; however, businesses will most likely get into the IOT system sooner than expected while it will take time for Blackberry to materialize.

The IOT system is very accurate. Connecting and managing devices is forecasted to scale up as the huge volume of things to connect globally.
