There is more than the iconic red and blue costume for Spider-Man in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s upcoming Marvel Comics film “Captain America: Civil War,” as it is set to have special effects and “little twists.”

In his interview with Collider, Anthony said that he and the team were still working on a few things, such as Spider-Man’s costume. The director added that the iconic friendly neighborhood superhero was not ready yet because so much would be produced with special effects.

Most fans are curious if Spider-Man is going to wear the infamous red-and-gold costume he sported in the “Civil War” comics for the time being. In line with this, Anthony verified that “Captain America: Civil War” would show a mix of what everyone was waiting for with a little “twist.”

According to Screen Rant, it is likely for fans to see a more advanced and weaponized Spider-Man costume should the iconic webslinger choose Iron Man’s side in “Captain America: Civil War.” This suggests that while the film features Spider-Man in his red and blue suit, fans could also witness the webslinger’s costume feature some characteristics of the Iron Spider suit in the comics.

Tom Holland is set to make Spider-Man’s cinematic debut in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe in the Russos’ “Captain America: Civil War” prior to his solo adventure in Jon Watts’ “Spider-Man” reboot. Marvel is still tight-lipped on the Spider-Man’s role in the film, so it is anticipated that such silence indicates something of a large impact to the film.

Captain America: Civil War” follows the clash between Captain America and Iron Man following the release of the Sokovian Accords. The two Avengers form their own factions, with Captain America joined by The Winter Soldier, Falcon, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Agent 13, while Iron Man is joined by War Machine, Black Widow, Vision, and Black Panther.

The Russos’ “Captain America: Civil War” is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016 while Watts’ “Spider-Man” reboot premieres on July 28, 2017.
