Followers of the Crayola fan page on Facebook were quite surprised after an unknown hacker posted R-rated and explicit contents in the company's Facebook account. The cyber-attack happened last weekend and Crayola was quick to apologize to its 2.5 million followers about the indecent act of vandalism done in their Facebook page.

Crayola's apology statement reads, "Our sincere apologies to our Facebook community for the inappropriate and offensive posts you may have seen here today. Please be assured the official Crayola page has been restored. We can't thank our fans enough for the feedback and support we received while working to resolve the issue ... you truly are the best and we look forward to an exciting and creative 2015!"

Hours after the attack Crayola also posted on their Twitter account that they were aware of the cyber-attack and they are doing their best to fix it. The hack was contained later that evening and Crayola posted apology statements regarding the crude messages posted by the hacker.

Some of the contents posted by the hacker were links to R-rated websites; memes containing sexual allusions and some highly explicit cartoons with pornographic themes most notable of it was an image containing a graphic picture with a message "If Disney Was for Adults."

Crayola's Facebook page usually posts contents regarding new color products and creative artworks along with family friendly messages. Many condemn the unknown hacker for posting offensive messages into Crayola's page, a company that is almost synonymous with child-innocence. Days after the attack Crayola has not yet identified the hacker or where the hack originated but they have assured their followers that they have regained control of their account.
