Besides being the first Miss Universe in a post-Donald Trump franchise era, newly crowned Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach gets a lot of freebies that come with the title and prestige of being the most beautiful woman among 77 candidates.

These perks include a year's salary, a fancy apartment in the Big Apple, clothes and beauty product from sponsors, a one-year scholarship from the New York Film Academy College of Visual Performing Arts, the diamond tiara worth $300,000 and jewelry designed by D.I.C.

In addition, there's also swimwear, modeling portfolio by Fadil Berisha, dermatology and skincare services by Dr. Cheryl Thellman-Karcher, professional health and nutrition consultation by Tanya Zuckerbrot, dental services by Dr. Jan Linhar and personal services, including membership in Le Parker Meridien Hotel's Gravity Fitness and hair services from John Barrett Salon, reports Business Insider.

However, in exchange for the fame that goes with the title, it would be a very busy year for the half-Filipino, half-German beauty queen. That's because she would immediately be taken from Las Vegas, where the pageant was held, to New York City for a media tour.

The tour involves appearances at media companies, television networks, charitable institutions and sponsor events as representative of Miss Universe to raise funds for its charitable alliances and increase awareness. That involves a lot of traveling for the controversial Filipina who never gave up on her dream to become a beauty queen despite ending a runner-up in Miss Philippines twice.

It's a dream that many young women hope would be their too, which is shared as well by the nation when their candidate wins. This explains the collective anger of Colombians who believe the gaffe by host Steve Harvey was scripted to get higher TV ratings, reports the Detroit Free Press.

"Mafias are everywhere. They stole the title ... After winning last year's Miss Universe we're a beauty pageant powerhouse and nobody wants us to win again," rants Efrain Salinas, a doorman in Bogota. Other Colombians blame Trump who they thinks manipulated the result to prevent a second win by a Miss Colombia.
