As the world further goes hi-tech, fewer people believe in seers and fortune tellers who divine what would happen in the next 12 months.
While social media is resurrection predictions made by a blind Bulgarian mystic before she died in 1996, an online poll made by Metro shows that 62 percent of respondents find the terrifying predictions by Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova as "all nonsense."
More known as Baba Vanga, Dimitrova's top forecast is a Muslim Invasion of Europe in 2016, reports Huffington Post. She added that end of Europe would happen with the use of chemical weapons by Muslim extremists. Recent political events, like the Paris terror attacks, the threats on several European cities during the Yuletide holidays and the infiltration by Islamic State (IS) of legitimate migration may appear to support the so-called seer's prediction.
Dimitrova gained the "gift" to foresee the future when she became blind at age 12 during a terrible storm, according to local legend. Among the natural and political phenomena that she has "accurately predicted" are 9/11, the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, breakup of the Soviet Union, Chernobyl disaster and the election of the first black American president.
After the Daesh invasion of Europe, within 10 year, no one will be alive in Europe, according to Baba Vanga. Daesh's atrocities may appear to support the mystic's prediction. The Independent Journal reports that the IS initially killed the father of a four-year-old child and after one week strapped a bomb to the child and detonated it. Three days before 2015 ended, the jihadists also burned a village, which killed old people, women and children. These atrocities were IS's to send the message to the world that it does not intend to stop its violence across the Middle East and into other continents, especially Europe.
Huffington Posts add that Dimitrova has also predicted a US-led attack on the Daesh by using climate-based "instant freezing" weapon, time travel by 2304 and the Earth becoming uninhabitable by 2341. But she also foresaw a nuclear World War from November 2010 to October 2014 which explains why fewer people are willing to lend their ears to these seers at the start of the year.
