Game publisher 2K Sports has just announced that "WWE2K17" will have a special NXT Edition. They have also announced that the roster of the wrestling video game will become bigger with the NXT Superstars added.
According to the official website of the game, the special edition will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will be available for preorder on July 14 for $100. It will contain the video game, a lithograph signed by Nakamura, a Finn Balor figurine with a height of eight inches, an authentic ring canvas from NXT: TakeOver: London, and the Goldberg pre-order pack.
The special edition will also contain the NXT Enhancement Pack, which will let players earn a 50 percent boost in point during MyCareer, according to Gamespot. This pack will help players train at the WWE's Performance Center, which is also featured in the video game. This will also add three playable NXT superstars to the roster, which are Nia Jax, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Apollo Crews.
Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 console owners will get to enjoy the NXT characters by purchasing them as DLC when the game launches. The PS4 and Xbox One owners who bought the standard version of the game will have to wait until the game publisher releases the pack later this year, while those who bought the special edition will get it also on launch day, said 2k Sports to the publication in a statement.
Paul Levesque, also known as Triple H, explained to the publication in a conference call that the special edition is as in-depth to NXT as they can get. Their hardcore fans wanted this, which is why they delivered this edition to satisfy them. He added that the fans wanted to follow the footsteps of the superstar's career paths, as themselves or as that character.
The publication also asked Levesque if the remaining Four Horsewomen, which are Bayley, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch, will be making an appearance in the popular wrestling video game. He replied that it will not be revealed for now, but he assures the fans that they should keep on a lookout for a future announcement from the game publisher. Sasha Banks, a member of the Four Horsewomen, was revealed as part of the roster during E3 2016 with John Cena and the Ultimate Warrior.
