Perlman has already experienced playing comic book characters in movies such as "Hellboy" and "Blade 2" and several fans agreed to the fact that he has the right image and age to fit the character. In addition, Perlman tweeted several post that are humorous and seriously endorsing himself for the role in "Deadpool 2" going so far as declaring that Cable should be playing him instead.
Lundgren on the other hand, described his take on Cable as a combination of "Ivan Drago" from the "Rocky" films and Gunner Jensen from "The Expendables" franchise.
In other news, "Deadpool" co-star Ed Skrein pitched an idea for a main villain in "Deadpool 2" as he told IGN that it should Taskmaster.
Skrein explained that both Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Taskmaster will chemistry, citing that both characters will be funny when they are together and Taskmaster will not have morals compared to Deadpool who has some.
