"No Man's Sky" creator Sean Murray recently said fans should not be expecting the game to offer a PvP multiplayer mode, as this is not one of those things it can offer. A few days before it finally releases, Murray laid down all possible features fans should and should not expect from the said game.
The list was posted in the official blog of "No Man's Sky" where Murray tackled a few things about the game. He reassured "No Man's Sky" is what gamers have hoped for by saying it discovers a procedural world with beautiful creatures, features combat against robot and some space battle, allows swapping with a non-playable character, and provides a great soundtrack which he said was performed by his favorite band.
He also said once players step foot inside the game, it will make them feel they have entered a "sci-fi book cover."
Now that Murray has defined what "No Man's Sky" is all about, he also did not fail to mention several expectations it cannot perform. He has acknowledged fans' imagination on what the game may offer according to all the trailers previously released.
He explained "No Man's Sky" is not the type that offers a PvP multiplayer mode, city building, plotting freighters or building civilizations. Although he was direct in negating all these features, the creator did not close the possibility the game may adapt one of these in the future.
For readers who have been thinking for quite some time on what players do in "No Man's Sky," a detailed explanation at Reddit is available. While some have imagined it is a walking simulator, the post elaborated it is basically an open-universe science-fiction game.
As for the gameplay, it consists mainly of three categories namely, fighter, trader and explorer. Players will be involved in combat situations frequently that they will be needing weapons called "Multitools." According to the post, these tools are able to conduct everything from mining to being the player's side arm.
Gamers should expect that their character will be fighting against any creature present on the universe, which includes but is not limited to aliens, animals, spaceships and sentinels.
More of these information is posted in detail at the said forum site, for readers who want to know more about "No Man's Sky," they can check the link provided above.
