"The Last Ship" Season 3 finale showcased what happened when Tom Chandler returned home. He was welcomed by Allison Shaw who wanted to kill him. He ended up winning one of the biggest battles and killing his enemy, Shaw. However, he had to pay a big price. He lost his ally Tex, who succumbed to the wounds of a bullet.
The intense finale came to an end with an unexpected twist. Chandler decided to resign from his post and exited the Nathan James.

Speaking to TV Line, "The Last Ship" showrunner Steve Kane revealed that there will be a time jump of "well over a year." In addition, the executive producer revealed that Bridget Regan's Sasha will be back in "The Last Ship" Season 4.
"The Last Ship" star Eric Dane, who plays the role of Captain Tom Chandler spoke to Threeibyspace and revealed what to expect from Season. 4. He promised that the upcoming season is "going to be intense." He also revealed what will the next season be about.
"Tom has been on three very different, personal journeys between season one and three. Season four will probably be about Chandler's journey back to consciousness. It's going to be like an epic, mythical-type odyssey. You're going to dig it," Dane said.
So when will "The Last Ship" Season 4 premiere? Speculations based on the previous season schedules, episode 1 is expected to go on air in June 2017.
