"The Last Ship" Season 3 finale featured Allison Shaw's failed attempt to kill Chandler when he returns to San Diego. The fight results into Allison Shaw. Unfortunately, the crew lost their most important ally, Tex, who succumbed to the wounds of a bullet.
The explosive finale closed with an unanticipated twist. Tom Chandler resigned from the navy and deboarded the Nathan James. "The Last Ship" Season 4 is expected to deal with the consequences of the fallout between Chandler and the government. At the same time, the show will see how Chandler's story will progress and return
Spoilers and speculations suggest that Tex's death and his last words will impact Chandler's future.
"That's going to echo for Chandler throughout the future of the show," Steven Kane told TV Line.
In addition, he revealed that "The Last Ship" Season 4 will pick up one year after the events of Season 3 finale. Meanwhile, fans can expect to see Sasha and Chandler's relationship develop further. The showrunner confirmed that the actress Bridget Regan, who plays the role of Sasha, will return in Season 4.
Meanwhile, Eric Dane, the actor who plays the role of Tom Chandler, in the series revealed what to expect from "The Last Ship" Season 4.
"Season four is going to be intense. Tom has been on three very different, personal journeys between season one and three. Season four will probably be about Chandler's journey back to consciousness. It's going to be like an epic, mythical-type odyssey. You're going to dig it," Dane told Threeifbyspace.
"The Last Ship" Season 4 is expected to premiere in summer 2017. Based on previous season schedules, episode 1 is expected air in June 2017. However, the network is yet to make an official announcement. So, stay tuned, more spoilers and updates are expected soon.
