"Orange is the New Black" star Lori Petty recently revealed whether or not her character, Lolly, will be featured in season 5.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress said that she's confident fans will still see Lolly even though she was sent to the psych ward in season 4.
"I certainly hope so. I do think we will. I can't say for sure, but I absolutely think we will. They are just now filming episode one of season five and you know how we ended season four. They have a lot to deal with right now!" she said.
Meanwhile, the premiere episode of "Orange is the New Black" will kick off just a few moments after the events that took place in season 4. This means that season 5 will still tackle Poussey's untimely demise.
After the character was killed off, fans couldn't help but question the series creators and executive producers' decision to do so. However, cast member Alan Aisenberg said that he knows for sure killing the character was necessary.
"As a fan of the show... yes I'm totally on board with her dying. That's what needs to happen. As an actor, I was terrified to have to figure that out. It was every emotion since we shot that in October to now. I felt excitement, I felt terrified, I felt fear - literally every emotion," he said.
Following Poussey's death, the company that runs Litchfield went in search of reasons to justify her demise. However, the people closest to Poussey just couldn't accept that she's gone, and season 5 will revolve around these characters still mourning.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 will premiere on Netflix sometime next year.
