Amid rumors and speculations of a Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather fight, Fox Sports 1's Skip Bayless gives the slight edge to the Irish mixed martial artist for his "craziness."
In an ambush interview with a TMZ Sports photographer, the Undisputed host says that the former pound-for-pound king is "too afraid" to fight McGregor and that Mayweather is not young enough to fight toe-to-toe with UFC's biggest paid fighter who is only 28 years old.
"Floyd's going on 40 years of age, he's got have lost touch of hand speed, Conor McGregor [has] dynamite hand[s]. I think Floyd would have a hard time with him," said Bayless.
Bayless even threw a little jab on the undefeated boxing legend.
"Conor McGregor is the baddest man on the planet. There is no way Floyd can knock him out as I don't think Floyd in this stage can knock me out. I just have a feeling Floyd would be crazy enough to get him. I think Conor can hit him and hurt him. Imma give Conor a slight edge just on craziness," he added.
However, Bayless said the exact opposite thing last March when he was still in ESPN2 doing his former show First Take with former partner Stephen A. Smith. Bayless said that Mayweather would "punish" McGregor as the American boxer is "just too gifted with his hands."
"I think Floyd would handle him (McGregor) in a street fight. I just think he'd outdance him, he'd outbox him, he'd out-everything him," Bayless said last March as reported by TotalProSports.com.
With Mayweather known for his monicker "Money," Bayless, however, believes the retired boxer could take home a huge payday if he pursues the fight against the only two-division UFC champion.
"I think could he could make another 300 million off of it. I think this would be a global bombshell final," he said.
