Futaba Sakura has been revealed as one of the new characters of "Persona 5" in a new character trailer. The voice actress' details were also revealed.
According to the official website of the video game, Deep Silver and Atlus have released a new character trailer, which can be viewed below, to introduce Futaba Sakura, another character from the video game. She is a genius when it comes to computers and she becomes a big asset for the Phantom Thieves.
Futaba is a genius with superhuman computational abilities and great programming skills. The only problem with her is that she is naturally and extremely bad at communicating with everyone, which turned her into a shut-in after a certain incident.
Futaba has the age of a first-year high school student, but she does not attend school anymore after her middle school graduation. However, she is very interested with the Phantom Thieves and uses an unexpected method to contact the elusive group.
The persona that Futaba has is called the Necronomicon, which was named after a legendary grimoire of knowledge and technology. In the game, the persona takes on the appearance of a UFO, and it shows her hidden power.
Futaba will have the voice actor Erica Lindbeck for the English dubbing of the video game. According to the official website of Behind the Voice Actors, she was trained by Michael Donovan and Crispin Freeman in the past.
Lindbeck has played several recent anime characters like Azee Gurumin from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans," Eli Ayase from the idol school anime project "Love Live! School Idol Project," Jericho from the popular fantasy anime "The Seven Deadly Sins," and many more. She also plays several game characters aside from a recent video game. She plays the female time patroller of popular sequel "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," Asahi from "Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse," "Grand Kingdom's" Gladium Ringland, and many more.
Lindbeck said that Futaba was daunting to act because she was all over the place. On the plus side, this gave her more freedom to act her out in the video game. She also said that her character goes through a lot in the game and she runs a lot of emotions.
