New details for "Grand Theft Auto 5" will feature new bikes and game mode in "GTA Online", as well as a Liberty City mod soon.
It seems that Liberty City will be coming to "Grand Theft Auto 5" this year as a teaser trailer from YouTube channel OpenIV team featured gamers travelling from Los Santos to Liberty City citing that everyone will go back to "where it all started".
Rather than recreate Liberty City from scratch in "GTA 5", the modders have imported "Grand Theft Auto 4’s version of the city using the OpenIV system, and games will need to have both "GTA" games installed on their PC to get it to work, along with a converter tool and OpenIV itself, VG 24/7 reported.
Liberty City is the equivalent of New York and has been featured as the main setting in "Grand Theft Auto 3", "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" and "Grand Theft Auto 4". Rockstar Games teased before that they might add other series from the "GTA" mythos within "GTA 5" such as San Fierro, Las Venturas and Vice City.
Vice City is based on Miami and it appeared in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories", and also heavily rumored to be a setting in "GTA 6".
San Fierro and Las Venturas are part of the whole San Andreas setting in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" as the game's version of San Francisco and Las Vegas.
The planned expansion was originally made for "Grand Theft Auto 5's" story mode, but was scrapped by Rockstar in favor of "GTA Online".
Username SOFTSECRETS claimed that these updates have been in production since the "Grand Theft Auto 5's" development, however, Rockstar had to be put off due to the limitations of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If the rumor became true, then gamers could see a release of North Yankton (GTA's version of Canada) and Liberty City in the early months of 2017.
In other news, Rockstar Games revealed new vehicles and game mod in the latest DLC update in "GTA Online".
According to the Rockstar Newswire, the Pegassi FCR 1000 is one the new bikes that gamers will ride on "GTA Online" and is described as an "instant classic".
Next is a new Adversary mode called "Vehicle Vendetta", which players can team up and speed around in vehicles trying to get a variety of powerups. These powerups include ‘Beast’ which turns a player’s vehicle into the Rhino Tank, ‘Ghost’ which allows players to “turn translucent” and drive through enemy vehicles to steal their powerups and ‘Deadline’ which turns a player’s vehicle into the Nagasaki Shotaro, which is a Tron-inspired motorcycle added in a previous update.
In addition, players who have joined in "Vehicle Vendetta" will between today until Jan. 17 will double XP and GTA$. For players who have not played the game mode can gain some extra funds by taking part in Stunt Races as these pay double XP and double GTA$ starting from Jan. 3, while Racing Alley is a Premium Race until Jan. 16 and offers extra cash and triple RP.
"Grand Theft Auto 5" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
