The latest details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature a new monster bestiary, DLC story, chapter 13 and Ravus' update role in the game.
Square Enix announced new changes for "Final Fantasy XV" in the future DLC plans game director Hajime Tabata talked about the original intent they had for chapter 13 in the game's story. He told USGamer that the direction of chapter 13’s content was a deliberate decision made from the development team and that stress that player's had in going through the chapter was greater than they anticipated.
Now that Square Enix plans to improve "Final Fantasy XV" story in the future DLC updates, gaming fans are hoping they can fix the problem that has plagued chapter 13 for them. Aside from chapter 13, Tabata teased new cutscenes and story bits to help further flesh some of the events in "Final Fantasy XV" and to better explain the motivations of its characters.
One of these characters is Luna's brother Ravus, the development team and players who have played "Final Fantasy XV" felt like he was underdeveloped and undermotivated. The upcoming changes in the story could help further develop Ravus even further giving him semblence of relevance within the game.
Tabata believes that releasing single player DLC to flesh out a game’s core story will become a trend, and players will see more titles adopting a similar release model.
This comes as an addition information to Square Enix plans to "evolve" the current game with slight changes to the game’s story, including reworking "FFXV's" 13th chapter, and the previously detailed Season Pass episodes.
Tabata described the planned updates and DLC as laying a foundation for future initiatives and it seems as if Square Enix is escalating their post-launch content plans every time it is brought up.
Tabata stated before that the post-2017 plans for updates and DLCs for "Final Fantasy XV" is his way of "giving back" to the gaming fans who have supported the "FFXV" project and now gaming fans will have something to look forward to in the sequel within this year.
Lastly, Square Enix teased that gamers will have a chance to have a monster bestiary in "Final Fantasy XV" as a free DLC. This item will help players learn more information on the monsters they have encounter from location, status to their weaknesses, Gematsu reported.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
