The latest details for "Grand Theft Auto 5" will feature a new game tournament next month and new screenshots of the "Liberty City" mod revealed.
It seems that the screenshots for the upcoming "Liberty City" mod for "Grand Theft Auto 5" have been revealed online as the modders responsible for it OpenIV teased gaming fans and modders how impressive these images are in the game.
The photos seen in the "Liberty City" mod are at here alpha stages as the screenshots show various locations from "Grand Theft Auto 4‘s" version of Liberty City, and it looks like the city is being perfectly replicated for "Grand Theft Auto 5" in the mod.
OpenIV stated before that they will use "GTA 4's" version of Liberty City instead of making the city from scratch ny using the OpenIV system. Gamers will need to have both "GTA" games installed on their PC to get it to work, along with a converter tool and OpenIV itself.
While PC players will have good reason to look forward in the latest mod, it does not seem as though console users will ever have the chance to explore Liberty City in "Grand Theft Auto 5". So far, Rockstar Games has opted out of allowing mods for the console versions of "GTA 5", despite the fact that other open world games, including "Fallout 4" and "Skyrim", feature console mods, Gamerant reported.
Liberty City is one of the few cities that were teased in the sequel's expansion and "GTA Online" along with Vice City, San Fierro and Las Venturas.
The planned expansion was originally made for "Grand Theft Auto 5's" story mode, but was scrapped by Rockstar in favor of "GTA Online".
Username SOFTSECRETS claimed that these updates have been in production since the "Grand Theft Auto 5's" development, however, Rockstar had to be put off due to the limitations of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If the rumor became true, then gamers could see a release of North Yankton (GTA's version of Canada) and Liberty City in the early months of this year.
Meanwhile, "GTA Online" players organized a tournament game mode for "GTA Online" called "The Kings of Los Santos" sometime in February.
The tournament will be available for three days in "GTA Online" as gamers will have teams of four and will feature races and team deathmatch. The tournament will be on Fen. 24-26 in the PlayStation 4 console, VG 24/7 reported.
"Grand Theft Auto 5" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
