iOS 8.3 or 8.4 jailbreak release may no longer happen as it seems that it is impossible for Chinese developers TaiG and Pangu to penetrate the security of Apple's iOS.
Apple put a stop on jailbreak with iOS 8.1.3 and users were stuck with iOS 8.1.2 jailbreak. The security features of iOS 8.2 and 8.3 are no joke. Moreover, Apple ceased the signing of iOS 8.2 following the release of iOS 8.3. This means that users can no longer update their iOS devices to iOS 8.2 and will be updated directly to iOS 8.3.
However, hacker Stefan Esser also known as i0n1c was able to develop untethered jailbreaks for the 8.3 and 8.4 versions of the iOS operating system. However, Esser has no plans on releasing the jailbreak for public us, according to Latin Post.
"Today I am delighted to share this video of a proof of concept iOS 8.4-beta 1 jailbreak that I was working on the last four days. ... The major vulnerability used in here was found right after the SyScan 2015 security conference when I was relaxing in Singapore from several weeks of training and conferences," Esser said.
The iOS jailbreak developer posted a teaser video showing off his jailbreak of the recently released iOS 8.3 as well as the first beta version of the iOS 8.4 operating system. Esser called his jailbreak a "proof of concept" and was merely for personal purposes. Thus, iOS users will not be able to enjoy the jailbreak and must wait for other developers to release their own version of the jailbreak, according to Scribbal.
The reason why Esser did not release the jailbreaks to the public is because of his dispute with Pangu, which he claimed to have stolen his work. Thus, Esser refused to work with the said team again.
