Motorola Moto X (2015) is the flagship smartphone that is expected to release later this year. It will come out to succeed the Moto X (2014). Even though Moto X smartphones are known for its amazing features, the only place where it falls short when pitted with its competitor smartphones from Apple, Samsung, LG and Sony is the camera department.
Improved Camera
The tweet from Adrienne Hayes, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with Motorola hints that an improved camera will arrive on the third generation Moto X. Another tweet from her confirms that the device will also feature advanced manual controls for the camera. Details of purported Moto X (2015) with model number of XT1542 was published along with its photo on GSM Arena. It claims that the Motorola flagship will be fitted with a 16 MP camera on its back and it will be housing a selfie camera of 5 MP.
Snapdragon 810 Chipset
Initial reports claimed that the Moto X (Gen 3) will be coming with Snapdragon 808 under its hood, but newer information reveals that it will be powered with Snapdragon 810 SoC. Even though Motorola is making good efforts to not to reveal any information on the Moto X (2015) secret, fresh rumors are surfacing on it repeatedly. The chipset will be supported by 4 GB of RAM.
Quad HD Screen
The Moto X (Gen 3) will be coming with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels AMOLED screen of 5.2-inch. Speculations are rife that the Moto X (2015) will be housing the display of the Motorola Droid Turbo smartphone that delivers a pixel count of 565 ppi.
The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS will come preinstalled on the device. It will be featuring an inbuilt storage capacity of 32 GB or 64 GB and will come equipped with a huge battery of 3,280 mAh capacity.
In March, the President of Motorola, Rick Osterloh had tweeted that the company will be adhering to similar annual cycle for releasing it products including the forthcoming Moto X as it has been doing for its predecessor models.
The first generation Moto X was released in August 2013 and the second generation Moto X arrived in September 2014. Hence, the third generation smartphone is likely to release around August / September. However, there is no official confirmation on the specifications and the exact Moto X (2015) release date.
