Fans of the "Transformers" franchise are starting to get worried especially now that the entire cast for the upcoming sequel has not yet been confirmed. Although the release date for the film is already pegged for 2017, it seems that not much has been done yet.
According to Cross Map, the only actor that has been confirmed to return to "Transformers 5" is Mark Wahlberg. All of the other actors who are being linked to the fifth installment are merely just rumors as of late.
A director for the franchise has not been confirmed. In the past, it was revealed that Michael Bay will no longer return to the franchise because he wants to be able to direct other types of films.
With this, fans have grown even more wary that the film may not be released during its expected time frame because until now, Paramount Pictures has not yet started with their filming.
Meanwhile, there are also reports that the script for the film has not yet been finalized. There are also rumors that the scriptwriters have not started putting together their ideas for the upcoming movie.
According to Christian Today, despite all of the uncertainties surrounding "Transformers 5," Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner previously said that no matter what happens, the film will materialize.
At that time, Goldner said that Akiva Goldsman is leading the writer's team. Not only will the latter be assigned to writing the script for "Transformers 5," he will also be assigned to head the writing for all of the upcoming "Transformers" movies.
