An update for the upcoming "Amazing Spider-Man 3" film was recently released after Sony's leaked emails resurfaced online.
According to Master Herald, the leaked emails confirmed that the casting for the "Amazing Spider-Man 3" has been very strict. This means, regardless if the actors are good, Sony and Marvel may still not consider them for the role if they do not fit their very specific requirements.
The publication also noted that Sony and Marvel are looking for white male actors who could pass as middle class men and the production companies are not willing to deviate from the specifications they have set.
Additionally, Sony and Marvel also noted in their leaked email exchanges that they want male actors who are manly and those that will not be mistaken for a homosexual. More specifically, the emails noted that they are looking for "Caucasian and heterosexual."
The casting requirements for "Amazing Spider-Man 3" have also become very personal. The emails noted that anyone who wants to audition for the role of Peter Parker should not have had sex before he turned 16 years old. Additionally, he should not drink alcohol or smoke.
As of late, there has not been much word about the future of "Amazing Spider-Man 3." This has led fans to speculate that the film may no longer push through altogether. After Andrew Garfield was removed from the franchise, it seems quite difficult to find a replacement considering the requirements mentioned above.
In other news, a "Spider-Man" reboot will be in the works soon. However, the film still has not yet tapped their lead star. As of late, actor Tom Holland is being rumored to play the part, Mstarz reported.
