Users can now download and install the new iOS 8.3 untethered jailbreak thanks to Chinese developer TaiG, but users are warned not to download the upcoming iOS 8.4 GM version in order to enjoy the new jailbreak.
TaiG just released the iOS 8.3 untethered jailbreak for Windows, which can be downloaded in the developer's website, and is compatible to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.
However, the jailbreak developer warned the community that some of the tweaks were not compatible with iOS 8.3 as Jay Freeman (saurik) must update the Cydia Substrate/Mobile Substrate to be compatible with the new jailbreak.
The new iOS 8.3 jailbreak will enable Apple devices to download and install unapproved third-party apps, tweaks, mods, custom themes, utilities, and other content from Cydia, which is the App Store of jailbroken devices. TaiG released stable iOS 8 jailbreaks in the past.
Aside from TaiG, other Chinese jailbreaking teams such as Pangu and PP Assistant are reportedly working on their versions of the iOS 8.3 jailbreak, which will arrive next month after iOS 8.4.
Some developers warned the jailbreak community to stray away of the coming iOS 8.4 as the new software ion will fix all issues in terms of security and will patch all of its vulnerabilities.
Meanwhile, Mac Rumors reported that Apple will finally roll out the Golden Master version of the iOS 8.4 to the public as well as the second beta version of the iOS 9 to registered developers and beta testers. However, Apple has not dropped the date when the iOS 8.4 will be available.
