The LG Nexus 2015 and the Huawei Nexus 2015 smartphones will battle against the flagships from major brands like Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and more that are slated to release in the third and fourth quarter of 2015. In the past, most of the Google Nexus phones like Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 have released in the fourth quarter. However, fresh rumors suggest that one of the Nexus 2015 may enter the battlefield soon by releasing earlier than expected.
The Nexus 6 was released last year in October 2014 with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard. However, before it came out, the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus, the Galaxy Note 4, and the Galaxy Note Edge were announced during the IFA tech show in September 2014. Microsoft too unveiled midrange smartphones such as the Lumia 730 and the Lumia 830 during the IFA tech show.
In this year too, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy Note Edge 2 during the upcoming IFA 2015 in September. After rolling out midrangers for more than a year, Microsoft is heavily rumored to unveil the Lumia 940 and the Lumia 940 XL flagships later this year. Moreover, the Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are pegged to release in September.
Among the upcoming flagships, OnePlus is slated to unveil the OnePlus 2 on July 27. It is already known to come with unmatched features like the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chip, fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C, 4 GB RAM, and duo camera setup.
Last year's Nexus 6 phablet was criticized for its huge design and hefty price tag. This year, it has more competition from various brands. Hence, as mentioned before, Google is working two Nexus 2015 smartphones.
The Android M that was showcased at the Google I/O 2015 tech show in May will come preloaded on one of the Nexus 2015 smartphones, Geek Snack stated. Google had proclaimed that before the final version of Android M is rolled to all the users, it will release three preview builds.
As of this writing, the third preview is set to release later in this month. So, it may so happen that one of the Nexus 2015 smartphones may roll out early along with Android M OS onboard by the end of the third quarter of the year in August or September, BGR reported.
