"Transformers 5" fans are still awaiting news about the film's newest director and cast members and Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg are two of the names rumored to be in it.
According to Day Herald, Bay, who directed the first four "Transformers" films will most likely return to the franchise because he is no longer tied to any upcoming films. Additionally, the publication noted that the change in release date for the film may encourage Bay to return to the franchise.
Meanwhile, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" star Wahlberg recently confirmed that he will be returning to the upcoming fifth installment. It is unclear whether or not he will be playing the same role, but fans are speculating this will certainly be the case.
In the past, Wahlberg has been the only cast members who was very vocal about "Transformers 5." According to him, the film will be released in 2017 and he said Bay will most likely return.
In other news, Wahlberg has been mum about his other co-stars, more specifically Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. The latter previously starred in "Transformers" but had a falling out with the director. However, they later patched things up and Fox already starred in Bay's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film for the big screen.
According to Vine Report, Fox has already expressed her desire to join the cast of "Transformers 5," but she will only do so if LaBeouf will also return to the franchise. As of late, the production for the film has not yet commenced but it is guaranteed to push through because Paramount Pictures already confirmed it a few months ago.
