"Gone Girl" star Ben Affleck has slammed the rumors that he is having an affair with his children's former nanny Christine Ouzounian. Reacting sharply to the rumors, the actor's rep has come down strongly on the tabloid, Us Weekly, for publishing a wrong story just to "sell magazines."
"The story is complete garbage and full of lies. You shouldn't be able to hide behind 'blind sources' and attempt to destroy families going through a difficult time," the 42-year-old actor's rep told New York Post, before adding that the tabloid's attempt is "shameful and desperate."
It was reported on July 29, Wednesday, that Affleck is dating his children's nanny. The affair started in the midst of Affleck and Garner's secret 10-month trial separation and was soon discovered by the actress, reported Us Weekly.
The publication also claimed that Ouzounian was later fired but she remained actively involved in the actor's life through emails, texts and secret meetings.
Contrary to actor's claims, it is reported that the 28-year-old nanny have told her multiple friends that she is in love with the actor, though, the same is not the reason behind his divorce. One of the unidentified friends of Ouzounian told People that she even showed her a pic in which she is seen sitting on the actor's lap while the two are kissing passionately.
The insider further claimed that Ouzounian also accompanied the estranged couple to Bahamas where they went for a vacation with their kids soon after officially announcing their divorce on June 30. Both, the California native and the actor, were also photographed together at Affleck's L.A. rental house on July 17.
The actress is yet to comment on the claims that her estranged husband is romantically and physically involved with her children's former nanny.
