"Aquaman" actor Jason Momoa has shared his thoughts on what fans could expect from James Wan's forthcoming DC Comics film "Aquaman."
Momoa is set to play the titular King of Atlantis. The actor told fans (via Comic Book Movie) at Dallas Comic-Con, that there was a large beautiful map laid out and he wished he would have carried it with him. The actor added that it would come out soon and fans would witness how big it was going to be.
Momoa also mentioned that there was not really a lot of spoilers he could give away. He just revealed that the "New 52 Aquaman" comics had featured Aquaman as a fascinating superhero, with his powers, toughness, and strength.
According to Cinema Blend, the "New 52 Aquaman" series was generally considered a great source material for beginners, even if the titular superhero had existed in the pages of the comic books for almost 75 years.
In previous reports, Momoa said that Aquaman was "meaner" and distraught because of what man had done to the oceans. He added that the world of King of Atlantis' had been polluted.
Momoa will debut his superhero character in Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which will lead to the rise of the Justice League, prior to his solo "Aquaman" film. Along with Momoa, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.
Wan's "Aquaman" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 27, 2018 while Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on Mar. 25, 2016.
