Honest Trailers is known for spotting inconsistencies in movies; however, regardless of how amazing "Inside Out" was, it didn't escape the prying eyes of the witty and hilarious reviewer.
Honest Trailers first noted that the movie allows children to blame their emotions for their unruly behavior and frees them from responsibility.
"Inside Out" earned $842 million globally, according to Box Office Mojo. It grossed $90 million dollars on its opening weekend. It earned more than $355 million in the U.S. and over $486 million internationally.
It also picked on the emotions feeling emotions despite being emotions themselves. The narrator added that the kids probably didn't know what all of these means.
But despite all the nitpicking, the Screen Junkies reviewer couldn't help but feel emotional when the scene on Bing Bong came up. He remembered his own imaginary friend and hearing him get all choked up was probably the highlight in this Honest Trailers episode.
The five members of Riley's emotional team was introduced toward the end with emphasis on other missing emotions such as empathy, hope, boredom, love and more.
The narrator also added that inexplicable feeling when you peel off dried glue from your fingers!
"Inside Out" was directed by Pete Docter and written by Josh Cooley, Pete Docter, and Meg LaFauve.
Amy Poehler gave life to Joy, Phyllis Smith voiced Sadness, Richard Kind made Bing Bong more lovable than he already is, Bill Hader made Fear believable, Lewis Black drove Anger mad, and Mindy Kailing gave Disgust a voice of her own. Newcomer Kaitlyn Dias was the one who gave life to Riley.
