Lady Gaga posted a remark about Ronda Rousey after the mixed martial artist's loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, although Rousey has yet to release a public statement.
After Holm knocked out Rousey in the second rout of their fight in Melbourne, Australia, on Nov. 14, Saturday, the American pop singer took to social media to express her sentiments.
In an Instagram post, the 29-year-old singer and songwriter exclaimed that Rousey deserved the defeat since the former UFC bantamweight champion refused to touch gloves with Holm.
With over 12 million followers on Instagram, Gaga noted her disappointment at Rousey's lousy sportsmanship during the traditional stare down just before the fight.
While other high-profile individuals such as Grammy award-winning singer Alicia Keys, American author Howard Stern and football player J.J. Watt have shown their support for Rousey, there has been much criticism since the defeat to Holm.
Aside from "American Horror Story" star Lady Gaga, former UFC champion and fighter Miesha Tate has also been vocal with regards to Rousey.
Immediately after experiencing a devastating second round head kick from the 34-year-old Holm, Rousey was sent to the hospital.
Likewise, the former UFC bantamweight champion has yet to make a statement regarding her surprising loss against Holm. Rousey's loss to Holm is the first defeat after being unbeatable for 12 straight fights.
During the first round at UFC 193, Rousey came in first with savage punches against Holm, according to Los Angeles Times. In response, Holm successfully lands a powerful combo that involved a hard punch to Rousey's jaw.
After a few minutes, Rousey was already bleeding from her nose but successfully pins down Holm. However, the "Pokemon" enthusiast was unable to secure an armbar and leads to Holm punching Rousey just as they got back to their feet.
By the second round, Holm had already given Rousey several counterpunches and the finishing head kick to seal the deal.
Holm is now the new UFC bantamweight champion.
