Director Bryan Singer may return for more "X-Men" films after his upcoming Marvel Comics film "X-Men: Apocalypse."
According to the Journal De Montreal, Singer and the production would go to the Great White North in 2017 to shoot a seventh "X-Men" film and Michel Trudel from Mel's Studios, the studio behind "X-Men: Apocalypse" and the new "X-Men" film, had recently signed an agreement with 20th Century Fox.
Aside from the amenities for filming, which team had found as convenient, another reason why they wanted to go back to Montreal was that Singer was a huge fan of the city. Singer may or may not direct more "X-Men" films as he had a number of upcoming projects, such as "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," according to Cinema Blend.
Meanwhile, fans are set to see the mutants in Singer's upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse," which centers on the rise of En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, as he recruits his powerful Horsemen to help him destroy humanity. To prevent their archenemy from fulfilling his plan of massive destruction, Professor X must lead a team of young mutants.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" stars James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, Lana Condor, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Hardy, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, among others.
Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016.
