Each of the 24 semi-finalists of "American Idol" Season 5 had two performances before advancing to the top 14. The performances were a solo performance and a duet performance with a past winner or runner-up.
Here is how I rank the solo performances of the 24 semi-finalists with scores on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest:

6. Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" by Avalon Young= 9.5/10
7. James Bay's "Let It Go" by Kory Wheeler= 9.5/10
8. Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" by Dalton Rapattoni= 9.5/10
9. Taylor Swift's "Safe & Sound" by Sonika Vaid= 9.4/10
10. Radiohead's "Creep" by Thomas Stringfellow= 9.4/10
11. "Adventure of a Lifetime" by Manny Torres= 9.3/10
12. Sam Sparro's "Black and Gold" by Adam Lasher= 9.3/10

It appears that "American Idol" Season 15 judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. do not exactly agree with this ranking. The 14 contestants who made it to the next round are Bourg, Harmon, Jean, Rapattoni, Stringfellow, Torres, Blosil, Isabella, McIntosh, Mitchell, La'Porsha, Rox, Vaid and Young.
The episode that will air on Feb. 24 will be the wildcard night and the top 10 finalists will be revealed on Feb. 25 with "American Idol" Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson as a guest judge. Watch La'Porsha's performance of "Proud Mary" here:
