"American Idol" season 15 is set to premiere in January 2016. A month before the premiere of the final season of the singing competition show, Fox has released a teaser showing its three returning judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. during an audition.

In the official Facebook page of "American Idol," a clip was posted on Dec. 8, Tuesday, showing Lopez, Urban and Connick Jr. goofing around leaving their seats as judges. Urban sits somewhere else and Connick Jr. stands at the back while Lopez lies on her stomach on the judging table.

The final episode of "American Idol" season 15 will be executive produced by Nigel Lythgoe, Variety reported. The finale will mark the long-time "American Idol" producer's return to the Fox show since he left the show after season 13 to concentrate on the dance competition show "So You Think You Can Dance," in which he served as a judge.

It was the production company Fremantle Media that invited Lythgoe to produce the "American Idol" season 15 finale. Along with Lythgoe, Fremantle's president of entertainment Trish Kinane will also executive produce the final episode.

In other news, "American Idol" alum Marque "Tate" Lynche was recently found dead on Dec. 6, Sunday, by his roommate in his Harlem apartment on W. 151 St. under suspicious circumstances, New York Daily News reported.

Before appearing on "American Idol" as an adult, Lynche was one of the child members of the 1990s "Mickey Mouse Club" with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling.
