When Jennifer Lopez appeared as a guest on "The Wendy Williams Show," which aired on March 3, Thursday, the controversial comment of Mariah Carey not knowing the "American Idol" Season 15 judge was briefly brought up. Lopez implied that it is surprising for Carey not to remember her.
"She does say that," Lopez said of Carey. "She's forgetful, I guess. We've met many times."
It has been years since Lopez was reportedly having a feud with Carey, which the former denied in 2014. The rumors started when Carey was about her thoughts of Lopez and famously replied, "I don't know her."
Lopez admitted that she did watch some shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, before her first residency show titled "Jennifer Lopez: All I Have" at The AXS auditorium in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino started on Jan. 20. However, she was not able to watch Carey's shows.
When Lopez mentioned Carey, Wendy Williams was quick to ask her about the former wife of Nick Cannon. However, what they mostly talked about was Lopez's relationship with Casper Smart, the new drama series "Shades of Blue" and the last season of "American Idol."
Joining Lopez in the judging panel of "American Idol" are Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban. Recently, the Top 8 finalists of the competition were announced, namely La'Porsha Renae, Sonika Vaid, Dalton Rapattoni, Trent Harmon, Lee Jean, MacKenzie Bourg, Tristan McIntosh and Avalon Young.
In 2013, Carey joined the judging panel of "American Idol" Season 12 replacing Lopez. Her fellow judges at the time were Urban, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj.
Meanwhile, Lopez also currently stars in "Shades of Blue" aside from serving as a judge in "American Idol" Season 15. In the NBC series, she plays a corrupt officer named Detective Harlee Santos, who works with the NYPD 64th Precinct in Brooklyn.
Harlee is the single mother to Cristina Santos (Sarah Jeffery), who is a musical prodigy. The other main characters are Lieutenant Matt Wozniak (Ray Liotta), Detective Tess Nazario (Drea de Matteo), Special Agent Robert Stahl (Warren Kole), Michael Loman (Dayo Okeniyi) and Detective Carlos Espada (Vincent Laresca).
