Britney Spears is reportedly eager to star in her own reality TV show in an attempt to prove to her fans her “normal” side, as well as promote her new album.

According to Inquisitr, Spears has already started the ball running for her new reality series. The outlet reported that several cameras has already been following the pop star's journey in her Las Vegas residency, called "Britney: Piece of Me." The new reality show will also feature Spears as she prepares for the release of her upcoming album.

The insider revealed that Spears has been approached by several networks about doing her own reality show. The "Everytime" singer thought that this will be a good opportunity for fans to show off her "normal" and "fun-loving" side. It was also pointed out that the new show will help Spears become relevant again this 2016.

"This show would focus on her life now. With her kids, working on her Vegas show and recording a new CD. Britney is in a great place and has nothing to hide. Letting the cameras into her life would help promote the new album and make her a pop culture icon again."

It has, however, yet to be confirmed as to which network Spears has signed up for. Naughty Gossip claimed that four networks, including MTV and VH1, were "very interested" in the reality show.

Apart from promoting her ninth studio album, the insider claimed that the new reality show aims to show everyone that "Britney is back." The pop star reportedly was aware that her image had been "tarnished" and eager to prove to everyone that she still has what it takes to succeed in this business. The new reality show will start shooting in a couple of months.

Spears starring in a reality series, however, is not a new thing. Together with then husband Kevin Federline, the couple starred in a show called "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic" back in 2005. Unfortunately, the show only lasted for five, half-hour episodes. The series followed the new couple's life in 2000s and documented their whirlwind relationship, leading up to their marriage in 2005.
