Tom Clancy's "The Division" had a new patch roll out on March 22, which is believed to have brought along with a game breaking bug. Some players have been reporting that the new high-end backpacks are vanishing from their inventories, and Ubisoft has taken note of the problem.

According to reports sent to Kotaku, the backpacks disappear leading to an impossible empty backpack slot in the player's inventory, and the user is eventually locked out of the game. The bug is currently affecting a limited number of gamers but Ubisoft has promised to solve the issue as soon as possible.

In a statement published in "The Division's" support forum, the gaming enterprise said it was investigating the matter. Ubisoft community manager Natchai Stappers also explained that the problem could have been caused by the nature of the High-End backpacks.

Reports concerning "The Division" lock-out issue are apparently widespread, from the game's own forum stretching over to Reddit threads. As recounted by Gamespot, some gamers have been reportedly complaining about the bug for over a week, which hints that it may not have necessarily come with the new patch.

The first case was reported by a Reddit user Bloodborne333, which Kotaku shared as well. The gamers message conveyed that it was already past one week since the issue was reported, yet no help had been received.

Ubisoft had rolled out the patch for "The Division" to address some much-needed changes to the initial game's dire Dark Zone PvP offerings. However, the game still had its share of glitches even before the current backpack issue.

Initially, when players approached the end game, there were problems relating to currency and structural nature of the Dark Zone. The Dark Zone presented players with a hard situation, where the Rogue system would have players fetch rewards, only to lose their lives and thousands of credits. Consequently, this jeopardized the atmosphere that the Dark Zone had been intended for.

Ubisoft, however, has relentlessly tried to solve all the reported problems, and gamers also hope that the backpack issue will soon be taken care of as well. For now, the company is seeking feedback from the affected players. Those with related problems are advised to visit the official "The Division" forum to air their concerns.
