The South Korean tech titan began to introduce "Active" variants for beginning with S5 series, S6 Active also came by and now S7 Active is on the verge. Compared to elegant S' and Edge models, Active variant is supposed to be more tolerant to environmental stress, more suitable for rugged users who are not very good at taking care of their phones or preserving its original shape.

Given that Galaxy S7 and its Edge version are both waterproof and dust-resistant already, the Galaxy S7 Active is presumed to be a very tough smartphone. There is no information about the specifications, but according to the Sammobile who first eyed the development, the new flagship phone is going to have same core capabilities with a different design and stronger material to absorb falls and other external impacts, additionally, more battery power might be seen.

Apart from the now confirmed Galaxy S7 Active, a "mini" variant is also travelling in the rumors to one-up the likes of Apple iPhone SE handset. Adopting iPhone SE philosophy, Galaxy S7 Mini will offer better specification at an affordable price, but it will also cost the buyers the luxury of large screen size.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active release date has not been announced, but based on the fact that the week-old rumored code-name SM-G891A gained an official brand-name, more updates are expected in the coming weeks. The apple cannot fall far from the tree so the following S7 Edge review video is chesting many hints about the upcoming phone.
