Users can check whether their device is due for an update or not by going to Settings> About Device. If they are prompted for an update then they can download the latest patch and enjoy the features of Android Marshmallow.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile has started testing Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on their network for the Android Marshmallow udpate, according to the T-Mobile support page. The update is expected to be rolled out by the end of April.

On the other hand, other network carriers such as AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular have not disclosed their release schedule for the Android Marshmallow update. However, it is expected to be rolled out soon.

Meanwhile, Android Marshmallow may still feel to be using Android 5.0 Lollipop design interface. However, there is a difference in the application option scrolling. Instead of a horizontal shape, it is now done in a vertical format. It is also possible to search for an app by just entering a keyword in the search criteria.

Next feature that the new update packs is of the finger-print scanner. Users will be able to use this feature to enable the mobile scanner to approve the payments in the Google Play Store. This means that the users will not be required to type all passwords which they needed to do on the Android Lollipop operating system.

Users can also do minor changes in the look and feel of the UI with the help of System UI Tuner. USB Type C and Doze features are also new add ons in this update, according to BGR.
