"Girl Meets World" season 3 will see "Family Matters" alum Reginald VelJohnson guest star in an upcoming episode.
In an interview with E! News, "Girl Meets World" cast member Ben Savage revealed that they are already filmed the episode where VelJohnson joined them on set.
"We were thrilled he joined us on-set this week. Having him here, felt like stepping back into my childhood. He's a terrific actor and such a nice guy," he said.
Meanwhile, the publication revealed that VelJohnson will be playing the role of a police officer which is very similar to his role on the now debunked TV show "Family Matters." In the latter, he played the role of Carl Winslow.
In other news, VelJohnson reunited with his "Family Matters" co-stars for the Lifetime movie "The Flight Before Christmas." At that time, he appeared alongside Jo Marie Payton, according to TV Line.
Meanwhile, fans have been clamoring for VelJohnson to just play the role of Carl on the hit Disney Channel TV show.
After all, one fan @Jason noted that "Girl Meets World" and "Family Matters" came from the same TV universe anyway.
"Family matters is in the same universe as GMW. So why not just play Carl? Corey and Steve even know each other," the fan wrote.
Another fan @Mark seconded the former's statement and wrote, "Maybe his character will be named Carl anyway."
One fan @Michael Grooms wrote, "Awww why can't he be playing Carl Winslow..."
Another fan @ldrslvrhnd wrote, "I agree, make it Carl! Unless this is a prank, then bad form, TV Line! Unless it's just not 'the Carl' part that's a prank, in which case good form!"
Other fans also started talking about the premiere episode for "Girl Meets World" season 3.

@Platy D replied, "The s3 premiere airs June 3rd (301) and June 5th (302). It's a 2-parter."
"Girl Meets World" season 3 is expected to focus more on the young characters' feelings. It will continue to star Rowan Blanchard as Riley, Sabrina Carpenter as Maya and Peyton Meyer as Lucas.
