Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile are expected to release Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium, Z5 Compact, Z4 Tablet, Z3, and Z3+ soon.

Android Marshmallow 6.0 update was released for Sony Xperia Z5 users but the device was plagued with numerous issues after being updated. Sony was quick to release a patch to fix the issue and now the device is running, bereft of any bugs. Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is expected shortly for the device.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact are also in line for the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update. T-Mobile is about to rollout the update soon, according to its support page.

On the other hand, a few units of Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3+ received the beta version of Android Marshmallow. This update came with numerous changes in the home launcher, camera app, sharing capabilities and app permissions.

AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular are expected to rollout the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the device by April. Users can be guaranteed of a bug-free experience, as Sony has already released the patch to counter the numerous known issues.

On the other hand, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is also rolling out to numerous Samsung Galaxy devices such as Galaxy S5, Note 4 and Note 5. Korean users of Samsung Galaxy S5 have already received the update and it is expected to rollout in United States soon.

Meanwhile, Android Marshmallow is also about to hit numerous LG flagship devices. LG G2, G3 and G4 are expected to get the update soon from the various network carriers.

Android Marshmallow is feature-packed with some useful and innovative updates. The simplified volume slider is back with this upgrade. Users can now lower the volume all the way and the device will be put in Vibrate Mode. If they press it one more step down, it will put the device in "Do Not Disturb" Mode. Users can also still access that Priority Mode by going to the Quick Settings menu, according to BGR.
