On the other hand, it has been reported that the show's creator and executive producer Beau Willimon has left the show, according to Hollywood Reporter. It could be very unfortunate that Willimon decided to leave the series, but because the show must still go on, the management has promoted two insiders to co-produce the hit political drama series of Netflix. According to Variety, Melisa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese will take the place of Willimon.

Gibson has a lot to offer based on her resume. She is an award winning writer who wrote popular plays including "This," "Placebo" and more. She also wrote some episodes of the "House of Cards." Pugliese, on one hand, also have big credits on his name. He is an award winning writer for both television and movies. He wrote an episode for the popular legal drama series "Law and Order," and helped wrote a story for the TV movie "Undefeated."

The fact that the newly promoted Gibson and Pugliese have impressive backgrounds, then it is safe to say that "House of Cards" season 5 is in the good hands. Therefore, fans may still be able to feel the excitement that they felt during the past four seasons once "House of Cards" season 5 airs in 2017.
