Almost a year after Bobbi Kristina Brown's mysterious death, Nick Gordon's attorneys released a statement calling on Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Paul Howard, to clear Gordon's name by acknowledging that there was no evidence of wrongdoing in Brown's death.

Brown's death came almost six months after she was found lethargic in a bathtub in her home on Jan. 31, 2015. Upon being found, she never totally recovered cognizance and was being kept on life support.

The autopsy results of the late Whitney Houston's daughter have been released. While her cause of death was identified as lobar pneumonia due to "hypoxia-ischemic encephalopathy" and water immersion combined with mixed drug intoxication, Fulton County Medical Examiner said that the manner of Brown's death could not be defined.

It is still unclear if the 22-year-old TV personality died accidentally or by intentional forces. Now, Gordon's attorneys, Joe Habachy and Jose Baez, claim that Brown's recently released autopsy report ought to prove that the baseball shortstop had nothing to do with his former girlfriend's death.

"The truth is that Nick tried to save Bobbi Kristina's life," Gordon's lawyers said in a statement obtained by ABC News. "The truth is that Nick cooperated with law enforcement since day one. The truth is that no one loved Bobbi Kristina more than Nick and no one has suffered more as a result of her death than Nick."

Gordon's lawyers asserted that the autopsy report itself was a clear evidence that Brown's sudden demise was an accident, adding that Gordon has been publicly humiliated by the Fulton County district attorney's office.

Both Habachy and Baez said that the proper thing to do now is to tell the public the truth, "that it was an accident or even a suicide, but not a murder," and that to let Gordon live his life and let the late Brown rest in peace, The Los Angeles Times has learned.

While no criminal charges have been filed, Brown's former boyfriend faces a $40 million civil suit filed by Brown's estate, alleging that he infused her with a toxic mixture after a savage quarrel rendering unconsciousness.

The rumor mill has it that Gordon reportedly steals $11,000 from Brown's account after she was hospitalized following the discovery of her unconscious body in a bathtub. The 20-year-old Gordon, on the other hand, strongly denied the said allegations.
