Bobbi Kristina Brown's death opened fresh wounds for the Brown and Houston families since they had not yet recovered from Whitney Houston's death.

Kristina died last July after being found unconscious at a bathtub in January. Ever since, Pat had remained silent but she has finally expressed her regret for failing to help her troubled niece.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Pat unveiled the events that led to the danger that her 22-year-old niece was in. Seemingly, Kristina was having issues in her misguided life.

Pat, Whitney's sister-in-law, manager and ultimately Kristina's second mother talked about her role as a mother that led her to do things that made Kristina to hate her. At some point, Pat filed a restraining order against Kristina's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, in an attempt of making her niece realize that the lad has an abusive nature. The restraining order did not go well as Kristina hated her for it.

However, Pat acknowledged that amid the controversy, Kristina still sought after her.

Pat said, "When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it, but it came too late."

According to People, Kristina was using hard drugs like heroin and crack. It was unfortunate that her boyfriend, Gordon, was into drug addiction as well. It was an issue that was meant to put Kristina into rehab.

Meanwhile, Gordon has recently countered the accusations filed against him that he allegedly injected Kristina with a "toxic mixture" that eventually led to her death. Through his lawyer, Gordon stated that the lawsuit was slanderous.

It is still unclear about what exactly transpired, but Pat hopes that she could have done better and assisted Kristina with the problems she was undergoing.
