Tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal gave their parting words to fellow Nike endorser Kobe Bryant in a retirement tribute to the Los Angeles Lakers great ahead of his final NBA game this week.
Federer and Nadal joined other Nike athletes - Russell Wilson, Tiger Woods and Serena Williams to name a few - in paying homage to one of basketball's all-time great.
After 20 seasons, the 37-year old Bryant will retire from competitive basketball at the end of the 2015-16 season. Kobe will leave a legacy as a five-time NBA champion, third in all-time scoring list, and a reputation as one of the most polarizing stars in NBA history.
-Federer will have a new street named after him. The street that will connect the Swiss Tennis Academy to the Tissot Arena will be named after the former world's no.1 and 16-time Grand Slam winner. This is the second street that bears the name of Federer after Roger Federer Alle.

-Juan Martin Del Potro is set to continue his comeback tour at the Monte Carlo Masters. The Argentine and former US Open champion is currently training on the red-dirt days before the official start of the European clay-court season.
Del Potro has been sidelined for a lengthy period because of the wrist injury. He admitted the recurring injury almost drove him to early retirement, but he's happy to be back on the court once again.
"I was close to quitting tennis. I got frustrated at home and I didn't watch tennis on TV because it was a sad day for me", said Del Potro as quoted by Eurosport [IBT.com]. "It was close, but now I have many good things to take from the tour. I would like to play tennis and that's it. Hopefully after my third surgery, the problem is almost fixed and I am here, playing tennis again."
