There are rumors about "Iron Man 4" starring a different actor if Robert Downey Jr. will not be available to make the film.
According to reports, Downey Jr., who clearly left a deep mark for the "Iron Man" movies, may be doubtful about being Iron Man again in the next installment. It is also said that even he would agree to reprise his role in "Iron Man 4," his schedules might hold him back from doing the film.
Furthermore, recent rumors about the anticipated movie points out to a possibility that Downey Jr. may not star in the fourth "Iron Man" film, which was rumored to be out by 2020.
As of the moment, fans may see Downey Jr. in various Marvel movies including "Avengers: Infinity War," which might be the next project for him after "Captain America: Civil War." The tight schedule of the actor could be the reason why Downey Jr. is quite skeptical if he would still do "Iron Man 4," Pakistan First reported.
Although Marvel has the power to somehow pause the production of the next "Avengers" film in order to give way to "Iron Man 4," some fans do believe that postponing the "Avengers" film may be unlikely, and that Marvel could opt for an "Iron Man" movie without the actor in it.
There could be several factors why Marvel would exclude Downey Jr. in the fourth "Iron Man" installment, and one of these factors, aside from the busy schedule of the actor, is his age. Although the actor looks superbly well, Marvel may have taken into account that the actor is not getting young, and that his appearance might change in the next few years.
On the other hand, if Marvel would choose another actor for the role of Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 4" movie, then it can be expected that a lot of comparisons will arise. In addition, according to Christian Daily, if Downey Jr. will not star "Iron Man 4," the film may unlikely be produced and released.
