Network carrier Sprint has released the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Samsung Galaxy S5, S5 Sport, Note 4 and Note 5.

Sprint has already released the Android Marshmallow update for other Samsung devices such as Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+. It rolled out the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for older Samsung devices, in the beginning of the month.

Even though Android Marshmallow was released in 2015-end, Samsung has started the rollout only from Feb. It updated all the latest devices first and now the turn has come for the older flagship models, according to GSM Arena. Models, which are more than three years old are not expected to get the update.

The latest operating system update is more than 1 GB in size, so users are advised to have more than 50 percent battery in their devices, before attempting the download. For convenience, they should also connect the device to a stable Wi-Fi, so that there are no interruptions and unnecessary data charges.

According to  Sam Mobile, most of the international models of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 have also received the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update. The update has been rolled out to all devices with the model number SM-N910C. The update has been rolled to the device, despite the fact that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is two years old, as it was launched in Sept. 2014.

Meanwhile, the Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ in rolling out in numerous countries. The rollout started first in South Korea and now it is in the pipeline for other countries such as Austria, India, China, Iraq, Holland and United Kingdom. It is about to roll out in Germany, Nigeria, Italy, Croatia, Pakistan and Spain.

On the other hand, Android Marshmallow is also available for other devices such as LG G3, G4 and V10. Most of the Sony Xperia Z series devices have also received the update. They experienced a few issues with the latest update, but a new patch from Sony sorted out the issue.
