New reports points out that the American multinational company, Microsoft, is prepping up to release its Xbox Two in June.

Since there have been several speculations claiming that Sony is gearing up to release a new version of their PlayStation console, unsurprisingly, reports about a new Xbox console, currently known as Xbox Two, have also made its way online. According to reports, the new Xbox Two console would be launched sooner than expected to compete with Sony's rumoured PS 4.5 or PS4K console.

According to Christian Daily, there is a possibility that Microsoft would be launching its new console in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event. The report claims that Microsoft has already filed two new projects titled 1682 and 1683 with Federal Communications Commission.

The E3 event will happen on June 13, whereas the availability dates of the two upcoming projects are scheduled right after the E3 event - June 25 for 1683 and July 20 for 1682. Gamers are certain that these recently filed projects have something to do with the new Xbox Two console.

Most of the news surrounding the release of the new Xbox Two is purely speculative; however, Xbox head Phil Spencer's recent statement, as reported by Alphr, does not do anything to dispel the rumors. According to Spencer, Xbox One and a half is highly unlikely; however, should Microsoft release a new console, Spencer explain that the improvements would be worth the upgrade.

"I don't know anything about any of the rumours that are out there, but I can understand other teams' motivations to do that. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it's reliable, the servers are doing well. If we're going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be a really substantial change for people - an upgrade," quipped by Spencer during an interview with Game Informer.

Neither Microsoft nor Spencer has chimed in on the speculations. However, the same Alphr article speculates that Xbox bran may focus on creating and adopting a virtual headset compatible with their rumoured Xbox Two, Xbox One and a half or Xbox One.5 console.

Moreover, speculations suggest that Microsoft may release two versions of the Xbox Two - one model would be catering to hardcore gamers and the other would be akin to the Apple TV.
